Zinc Flakes and Top-Coat
Zinc flakes technology was born from the demand of the automotive industry for high protection against corrosion, absence of hydrogen embrittlement, well-defined and homogeneous thicknesses and precise coefficients of friction. This technology can be applied with Dip & Spin, Drain or Spray processes after a right surface preparation.

- LAFRE - Silver Finish
- LAFRE BK - Black Finish
- TOP COATS
Process features:

Discover our products:
- Extremely thin film, high corrosion resistance
The LAFRE system was developed as a surface treatment with unique features to satisfy the wide variety of customers’ requests. Thanks to an extremely thin coating with high corrosion protection, the LAFRE process allows anti-corrosive performance in outdoor locations by combining three different types of metal flakes in the right proportion, creating a compact and very durable film. Suitable for screws, bolts, nuts, small metal parts and much more thanks to its versatility in processes Dip & Spin, Drain Dip & Spray. - Extremely thin films (5 µm)
It can get a very thin film of only 5 µm with only two applications and two curing of the coating. The film is straight and smooth, made of 3 different types of metal flakes that create a thin laminar coating. - Low curing temperature
A deposit feature is to have excellent performance with low curing temperature, just 250° C, therefore applicable to products that require a certain control of the treatment temperature, like the springs. - Free from hydrogen embrittlement
The surface preparation does not require pickling processes or electrolytic processes that may cause hydrogen embrittlement, causing the breakage of steel with high tensile strength. - High corrosion resistance
The most important and most obvious feature of the process is its resistance to corrosion: 2000 hours neutral salt spray tests and 200 cycles in the combined cycle.
Process features:
- Black semi-gloss finish
- Excellent corrosion resistance: in just 3 steps, more than 1000 hours
- No color change until red rust
Discover our products:
New process based on zinc flakes with a black finish, consisting of two products, requires only 3 applications and 3 curing divided as follows:
- LAFRE BK – BB-56 is a dark grey zinc flakes base-coat, it requires an application with curing at 250 ° C
- LAFRE BK – BT-18 is a semi-glossy black ceramic top-coat, two applications with curing at 200 ° C
The application can take place in Dip & Spin, Dip & Drain or Spray with corrosion resistance performance superior to any product present on the market today.
- Excellent corrosion resistance.
In neutral salt spray can reach over 1000 hours. - No hydrogen embrittlement.
The surface preparation is not using pickling acid or electrochemical processes, which avoids the possibility of hydrogen embrittlement of special steel. - Only 3 applications.
The appearance and the final characteristics are achieved with only three applications: one base-coat and two top-coats.
- Range of products that can be used both on electrolytic zinc and on zinc flakes
- Corrosion resistance up to 1.000 hours
- No color change
- Friction coefficient under control
Surface treatment technology with high-grade anti-corrosion available in several colors
RUSPERT® metal finish is a high-grade anti-corrosion surface treatment technology. It consists of three layers: the first layer; a metallic zinc layer, the second layer; a high-grade anti-corrosion chemical conversion film, and the third top layer; baked ceramic top coating. The distinguishing feature of RUSPERT® is the tight joining of the baked ceramic top coating and the chemical conversion film thanks to the cross-linking effect. These layers are bonded together with the metallic zinc layer through chemical reactions, and this unique method of combining layers results in a rigid and dense combination of the coating films. RUSPERT® treatment does not attribute its anti-corrosion properties merely to a single material, but the synergy of these three layers, which combined have superb rustproof qualities.
- Superior corrosion resistance
Excellent resistance against gas, weathering and other kinds of corrosive factors like salt water - Corrosion resistance against scratches Minimal surface scratches due to composite layers
- Bimetallic corrosion resistance
Less sensibility to galvanic corrosion - Low processing temperature
The baking temperature below 200°C protects the products from metallographic changes - A variety of colors
Various colors available to suit different purposes
